Think 1 Thing

The intent of Think 1 Thing is to transform the gallery space, which has always been considered as a persuasive station within the circuit of knowledge and meditation, into a space where artists together with students, abstracting from their individuality, they try to forget, at the same time recalling the systems of thinking and showing something, consulting a technique with the technique. These in synthesis are the assumptions of the Esc group and of Quartapigure.

Flash Art

Revised sculpture, created in collaboration with Zak Manzi, variable dimensions, 2000.

Flash Art is a sculpture-magazine in four-color and cellophane printed paper, the edition is 1200 sealed pieces. For its creation, 45 people were involved including art critics, philosophers, associations, artists, theorists, gallery owners and curators, who provided texts, news and images by tracing the real dynamics that are the basis of the creation of any magazine. The role of the subjects involved is mainly that of reviewer.

Performance realized in collaboration with Claudio Conti and Claudia Fabris, Cittadellarte Fondazione Pistoletto Biella 1999.

Threaded rods, hollow rods, iron plates, bolts, wheels and gymnast hooks. Ten days of work on tools-prostheses to be mounted on the beam of the former wool mill with the aim of being an active part of the structure. Prosthetics and repeated movements to attach to what remains of the old work equipment of that environment. Workers - machine. Useless pieces of a production chain. Producers of nothing.

The human presence inside the monitor is felt through an image of death.

The intention with this work is to transmigrate life into an image.

The hanging, a clear symbol of death, contrasts with the sense of the installation that tries to reproduce life for a moment generates life.

With these words in the nineties I presented the video installation Impiccato in Padua and then in Viterbo.

Fragments human in image is a sort of sequel, a video designed for the flat screen of iPads or Smartphones, it is also characterized by anguish like the previous one but has a greater restriction. The character who finds himself crushed in an almost two-dimensional container expresses a sort of approval, appreciation of this existence in an image.

The phrases above the figure of the face are inspired by the writings of the Canadian philosopher and sociologist Marshal McLuan.
